A workers' guide to fines

This new booklet is for workers who help people with infringement problems in Victoria. It explains what happens when a fine remains unpaid, and explains the options.

It has information about:

• how the infringement system works
• what to do if you disagree with the fine
• what happens if you don’t pay the fine
• where to get help.

Victoria Legal Aid also produce the following resources on fines:

• a simpler, shorter publication Fines: your options for dealing with fines
• an information sheet which uses simple messages and stories called Fines: how to sort them out. Also available in English, Turkish, Vietnamese, Chinese and Arabic.
