Induction training program

Victoria Legal Aid regularly conducts induction programs for new employees. The aim of the induction program is:

  • to welcome new employees
  • to settle new employees into the work place
  • to allow new employees to understand their role within the organisation
  • to enable the employee to become independently productive as quickly as possible.

The induction program consists of a broad introduction from the managing director followed by a divisional manager, an overview and discussion of current human resource issues, a practical session on ergonomics and a visit to the VLA Library. There is also a computer training session and a presentation on salary packaging.

It is compulsory for new employees to attend and they are notified by Human Resources when the next induction program will be conducted.
