We provide services in general family law matters. We also have specialist teams of independent children’s lawyers and child support lawyers.

What can we help you with?

Experienced family lawyers at all Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) offices can offer help on:

  • divorce and separation
  • children’s issues
  • property settlement
  • intervention orders
  • other family law issues including injunctions, location and recovery orders, spousal maintenance, breach and enforcement of orders, and disputes about children’s passport applications.

What can you do?

We run free workshops for people who want to:

  • represent themselves in the Family Court or the Federal Magistrates Court
  • know how to apply for a divorce.
