Privacy

Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) takes your privacy seriously and we work hard to ensure that we meet all of our obligations under the:

  • Information Privacy Act (Vic) 2000 
  • Health Records Act (Vic) 2001
  • 10 Information Privacy Principles (IPP’s)

If you have a complaint VLA will ensure that:

  1. Our privacy officer will hear your complaint and attempt to resolve it in a way that is satisfactory to you
  2. If you are not happy with the outcome of your complaint, that it can be followed up with the Privacy Commissioner’s office.
