Victoria Legal Aid recently showed solidarity with the LGBTIQ+ communities by marching in the Midsumma Pride March.

We staffed a stall at the Midsumma Festival where we had a high level of engagement with members of the LGBTIQ+ communities.

Deputy Managing Lawyer Equality Law Program Aimee Cooper said Victoria Legal Aid is committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for LGBTIQ+ staff and safe and inclusive legal services to LGBTIQ+ clients.

'It was wonderful to have Chief Executive Officer Louise Glanville join us at the march confirming our support of LGBTIQ+ communities comes from the top of the organisation.

‘We also recently joined Pride in Diversity, an employer support program designed specifically to assist employers with all aspects of LGBTIQ+ inclusion.

‘Pride March is such an important event to Melbourne’s LGBTIQ+ communities, and our staff were proud to march behind our Victoria Legal Aid banner,’ said Aimee.
