New indictable crime precedent collection – now available

Monday, 20 August 2018

Our Professional Support team have developed a collection of indictable crime precedent letters for matters involving adult clients. These precedents are available to panel practitioners and community legal centres to support the quality service delivery of all lawyers providing legal aid services to clients.

The new collection, developed by Crime Professional Support Lawyer Jenn Schubert, includes:

  • client reporting letters on the outcome of committal proceedings
  • County Court appeals
  • County and Supreme Court pleas and trials
  • Court of Appeal proceedings.

This collection complements our extensive summary crime precedent collection. We also maintain precedent collections in the areas of family law, youth crime, child protection, family violence and civil justice matters.

To access any of our precedent collections, contact Managing Lawyer Professional Support Kimberley Ison via Kimberley.Ison@vla.vic.gov.au

We value your feedback and are also keen to hear if these resources are supporting your practice. Please forward your feedback to Professional Support.
