A Quality Focus on Child Protection in April

A Quality Focus on Child Protection in April

Tuesday, 28 March 2017

In April, the Quality Audit team will be working with child protection panel practitioners.

The team will select child protection panel practitioners for either a quality audit or forward a self-assessment audit.

Following the audit of practitioner files, the Quality Audit team will forward practitioners a report highlighting both potential improvements and positive feedback. Where necessary, the team will provide support by identifying training and educative opportunities. They may then request to meet with a practitioner face-to-face to discuss the audit findings. These personal interactions are an opportunity for two-way feedback. We have found them to be positive, constructive and valuable for both our panel practitioners and for Victoria Legal Aid.

Prior to this round of child protection quality audits, our focus has been on family law and summary crime panel practitioners across the state.
