What we will do with your information

  • we will review the information you have provided. Your information will help ensure grants of legal aid go only to people who meet our grants guidelines
  • we may contact you for further information if you provide your contact details
  • we may seek further information from the legally aided person or from their lawyer
  • we will not say where the complaint came from, however it is often possible for a legally aided person to figure this out.

Note: the law prevents us from giving you any information about another person’s application for legal aid. This means that we cannot tell you the results of our investigation and we cannot tell you whether or not another person is legally aided.
