Summary Crime Panel

Membership of this panel entitles private practitioners to submit applications for legal assistance for criminal matters in the Magistrates' and Children's courts using the simplified grants process. Membership is by firm rather than by individual practitioner.

Appointment to the Summary Crime Panel is limited for a period of five years

To be considered for inclusion on this panel you must:

  • be admitted as practitioners of the Supreme Court of Victoria, have signed the High Court Roll and hold a current practising certificate under the Legal Practice Act, and
  • have experience in the practice of summary crime.
