Family Law Panel

Membership of the s. 29A Family Law Panel entitles private practitioners to submit applications for legal assistance for family law matters in the Family and Federal Magistrates courts using the simplified grants process. Membership is by firm rather than by individual practitioner.

Appointment to the Family Law Panel is limited for a period of five years.

To be considered for inclusion on this panel you must:

  • be admitted as practitioners of the Supreme Court of Victoria, have signed the High Court Roll and hold a current practising certificate under the Legal Practice Act, and
  • have experience in the practice of legally aided family law matters.
