State Attorney-General Jaclyn Symes toured our Dandenong office on Thursday and spent time learning about our important work.

The Attorney-General met reception, family law, civil justice and criminal practice staff and referred back to the many case studies we had provided to her.

She was particularly interested in the use of interpreters at court which she discussed with our Deputy Managing Lawyer, Siva Kandasamy.

Dandenong Managing Lawyer, Natalie Heynes said it was a pleasure to host the Attorney-General.

‘I was delighted to introduce the Attorney-General to my team, share our experiences and discuss the diverse variety of work we undertake across the legal system.

‘The Attorney-General appreciated the value of our work and acknowledged the importance of therapeutic justice and early intervention.

‘We were also able to convey to her that in working with individual clients, we can have a positive impact on our community more broadly.

‘Additionally, we spoke about the volume of our work, the diversity of our clientele and the passion, care and commitment of our staff,’ said Natalie.
