Websites to relaunch on new platform

Wednesday, 24 November 2021

We're redeveloping our legalaid.vic.gov.au website to make it easier for people to access the information and assistance they need through a modernised website with easier to use information and self-help tools.

As a part of this redevelopment of our main website, our four other websites: Disaster Legal Help, IMHA, LawHub (formerly LawGuru) and the Handbook for Lawyers will all be relaunched in the Single Digital Presence (SDP) environment.

The SDP is a standardised website management system for Victorian Government websites that is user-centric, flexible, accessible, secure, fully supported and continually improved.

We are moving our websites to this platform to take advantage of efficiencies in development and ongoing maintenance for technical upgrades as well as accessibility, best practice standards and security compliance.

All of the content you know and regularly use will still be available, within the same structure across our different websites, however some pages within the websites will have different URLs.

Therefore, if you have bookmarks to any pages within our Disaster Legal Help, IMHA, LawGuru or Handbook for Lawyers websites – you may need to update them.

These sites will move onto the new platform sequentially from the end of November into early December and our main website will re-launch in early 2022.

We are excited to release these websites on the new platform, which will deliver a modern, user-friendly experience; and our main website which will ultimately allow users to self-help with easy-to-use legal information and tools, engage with our services digitally and connect them to legal assistance.
