Victoria Legal Aid supports community legal centre (CLC) staff and panel practitioners by providing access to LawGuru. LawGuru provides legal information, updates on legislation, references, forms and resources to help lawyers support their clients.

Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) seeks to support the delivery of high quality and consistent legal services by providing information in LawGuru (Information). By accessing and using the Information, you agree that it is provided on the following terms:

  1. The Information is made available for use in the ordinary course of your business. Users are authorised to use the Information for the following purposes:
    1. providing legal services to clients, and
    2. internal training or resourcing.
  2. Other than provided in items 1(a) and (b), you may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell the Information without first obtaining VLA’s consent in writing.
  3. An Australian lawyer with a current practising certificate will supervise the use of the Information.
  4. The law firm or community legal centre is solely responsible for ensuring the proper use and application of the Information. You acknowledge and agree that the Information is intended to be used only by professionals, and their staff and volunteers in the course of their business.
  5. To the extent permitted by law, all warranties, conditions and guarantees implied by law or otherwise are excluded and VLA is not liable to you or any third party in any way for any loss, damage, costs or expenses you or they may suffer or incur as a result of using any Information provided by VLA.
