Jill has been a member of the Victoria Legal Aid chairperson panel since 2003. She is a lawyer and mediator who has worked in family law and mediation since the 1980s.

After working as a solicitor in private practice, Jill joined the Family Court of Australia as a registrar in 1994. She became an approved court mediator in 1995 and was involved in the development and delivery of training in mediation. As a senior registrar she conducted duty and short hearing lists in the Family Court of Australia until 2003.

Jill is a senior decision maker for the Child Support Agency, where she determines applications for review of child support assessments.

Jill also works privately as a family dispute resolution practitioner and mediator.
