Expanding access to justice for communities in the north-east

We are expanding our service across the Ovens Murray region on Wiradjuri and Dhudhuroa Country in response to rising demand for legal aid.

Our Wodonga-based team has now transitioned from a satellite of our Shepparton office to a standalone service.

The team works in partnership with existing panel practitioners and community legal services to increase access to justice for Wodonga and Ovens Murray communities.

Our lawyers provide crime, family violence and child protection duty lawyer services at Wodonga Magistrates’ Court and oversee the rostering of duty lawyer services at satellite courts in Wangaratta, Myrtleford, Corryong and Mansfield.

We also take case work across those practice areas and will expand to family law work in the coming months.

Our Wodonga office opens to the public later this year.
