The Law Institute of Victoria is offering specialist accreditation in criminal law in 2026.
We support lawyers who assist legally aided clients to become accredited specialists.
We provide a practical study support program to help lawyers prepare themselves for the specialisation examinations. Supports include facilitated discussion intensive study sessions, professional legal education lectures and access to resources.
The support program is offered to Community Legal Centre lawyers and private practitioners who are on or applying to be on our criminal law, youth crime or child protection panels.
In 2024 forty-three lawyers who participated in our criminal law study support program successfully obtained specialist accreditation.
Our specialisation study support programs commence in February 2026. To ensure you don’t miss out, please register your interest by emailing vlacrimespecialisation@vla.vic.gov.au
