Welcoming John Cain and Domenic Isola to our Board

The Governor in Council appointed John Cain and Domenic Isola to our Board on Tuesday 11 August 2026. Both have been appointed for 3-year terms.

John Cain

John’s term starts immediately, filling the vacancy created when Llewellyn Prain moved into the Board chairperson role in March 2026.

John brings extensive experience in legal governance, public administration, and oversight of complex statutory functions.

John has served as the Victorian Government solicitor, the solicitor for public prosecutions, state coroner, CEO of the Law Institute of Victoria and a County Court judge. He was also recently appointed chair of the Transport Accident Commission (TAC).

Domenic Isola

Domenic is a Fellow of CPA Australia and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He has expertise in financial management, reporting and audit, and experience in governance and risk.

He also has strong leadership, local government and public sector experience, including serving as CEO of Hume City Council for 13 years. Domenic is currently a board member of Northern Health and Yarra Valley Water.

Domenic will start on the Board on 18 October 2026, when Clare Morton’s second term finishes.
