Our Equality Law Program is seeking people with lived experience of workplace sexual harassment to join our reference group.

With the valuable input of victim-survivors and those who work closely with them, the reference group works to continuously improve our sexual harassment legal services.

Community and Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator Amy Harkin says we’re looking for people who have sought legal help following an experience of workplace sexual harassment.

‘We understand that everyone’s specific experience is different,’ says Amy.

‘We are interested in hearing from a wide variety of people and experiences.

'This may be people who have made a phone call to get legal advice or information, right through to people who have made a claim for sexual harassment. They could be former clients of our Equality Law Program or any legal service.'

The team is particularly interested in hearing from people who have experienced workplace sexual harassment and:

  • speak English as an additional language
  • are members of refugee, migrant or newly arrived communities
  • have disability
  • are/were in insecure and/or low-paid employment
  • are trans, non-binary or gender-diverse and/or are not heterosexual.

We recognise that many people may be part of more than one of these groups and that individuals cannot represent the views and experiences of all members of their community.

Participants are paid for their time to participate in the working group.
