When submitting a claim, practitioners can reduce their administrative work by letting us know if a cost order is awarded for a conciliation conference.

The cost indemnified icon (see circled icon in screenshot), located next to the conciliation conference work item in the invoice, is now available in ATLAS. Simply tick the ‘cost indemnified’ box on your invoice to keep the invoice active for further claims. By doing so, you will save time when seeking further extensions of aid.

Documents required to be provided to us

We require a copy of the costs order which must state:

  • the costs are payable to Victoria Legal Aid
  • the value of the costs
  • the parties the costs order relates to.

Please submit a copy of the costs order via the ‘submit correspondence’ function in ATLAS when you submit your invoice.

Technological issues due to change

We understand there were technological issues when this change was implemented in ATLAS. We will provide further information to practitioners about these issues shortly.

If you encounter any issues when submitting a claim on an existing grant of assistance, please contact Grants and Quality Assurance at compliance@vla.vic.gov.au
